"At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you have three out of four of your limbs; it doesn’t matter if you’re fat, short, tall, male, female, or somewhere in between. None of that matters. All that matters is that we’re human and trying to breathe together"

Yoga Bio
I came to yoga quite by happenstance while studying literature in Toledo, Ohio in the early 2000s. I attended a yoga class at the University's rec center and fell in love. Since then yoga has been a part of my life that I would turn to in times of need. A desire to foster inclusive yoga spaces for people of color, LGBTQIA folks and bodies of all sizes lead me to embark on a journey towards certification at 8 Limbs Yoga Center in Seattle, WA.
I truly believe that yoga is for every body. I aim to provide students with a solid base in alignment and breathing techniques with the hope that students walk away with a sense of strength, comfort in their bodies and joy both on and off the yoga mat.
I completed her 200hr YTT at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle, WA where she also trained as a prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor. I am currently enrolled in the 500hr YTT. Erika is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). She was the co-director of Samdhana Karana Yoga Studio in Tacoma, WA and currently teaches private and semi-private yoga.
When I'm not teaching yoga or supporting birthing people I'm usually trying to perfectly bake a NY bagel, making clothing, throwing pottery or puttering around in our front yard garden. I have a healthy addiction to house plants and and wildflowers (especially rare poppies). I live with my wife, our 5 chickens, 2 cats and spoiled puppy.
Private Prenatal Yoga
Enjoy private prenatal yoga sessions in the comfort of your home.
Your one hour and fifteen minute session will begin with a brief check in about you and your pregnancy. Together we'll go over any issues or concerns you may be experiencing as well as any goals or intentions for our practice together. We'll then move to a meditation to focus on mind-body connection, an important factor in both pregnancy and birth. The practice itself will be catered to your individual needs and will include both prana (energy work and breathing techniques) and asana (yoga poses). The poses are safe for pregnancy* and are intended to be challenging, allowing you to channel your inner strength while we explore your body's capability. The practice will close with gentle pelvic floor work and savasana (final resting pose).
